Read moreOccasionally more complicated trackpad gestures stops working. (I am currently on OS X Yosemite, but think I’ve been using this tip since at least Mavericks and maybe Mountain Lion.) Typically two fingered tap for right click continues to work, but gestures like four fingered swipe between spaces stop working. A little googling revealed a quick easy way to recover:
killall Dock

The other day I saw some discussion regarding which was easier to read: bright-on-dark versus dark-on-bright text. This is an accessibility issue. The vast majority of the web is dark-on-bright, which I suppose historically goes back to black ink on white paper. While looking at reflected light, like a book or magazine, I certainly find black-on-dark easier to read. But, on a screen I find light on dark is easier for my eyes.
